15-minute checks

While a unit is flying a call, dispatch checks in on it regularly: you look at where the unit is and log its position. AMT keeps the clock for you.

When a check is due

Each active call shows its next check in the Q15 check column and in the call drawer:

  • "10:27 left" — time until the next check.
  • Amber — the check is due (your company's check due time, 15 minutes unless set otherwise).
  • Red, "Overdue" — the check is overdue (your overdue time, 20 minutes unless set otherwise).

You'll also get a 15-minute check alert in Notifications, with a sound.

Log a check

  1. Click the alert, or open the call.
  2. The drawer opens at the Position log. Look at the unit's last position on the map.
  3. Enter the latitude and longitude (or a note, if you have no coordinates) and click Log position.

Logging the position is what acknowledges the check — so a check is never cleared without someone looking at where the unit is. Changing the call's status also restarts the clock.

From the command line, ack air 12 opens the position log for that unit's call.

Ground time

If a unit has been on the ground for a long time (45 minutes), you'll get an on-ground alert too.
